In weekend-ul care tocmai a trecut au fost desemnati castigatorii  World Fantasy Award 2009. Acestia sunt:

Best Short Story: “26 Monkeys, Also the Abyss”, Kij Johnson (Asimov’s 7/08)

Best Anthology: Paper Cities: An Anthology of Urban Fantasy, Ekaterina Sedia, ed. (Senses Five Press)

Best Collection: The Drowned Life, Jeffrey Ford (HarperPerennial)

Best Artist: Shaun Tan

Special Award – Professional: Kelly Link & Gavin J. Grant (for Small Beer Press and Big Mouth House)

Special Award – Non-Professional: Michael Walsh (for Howard Waldrop collections from Old Earth Books)

    Interesant este ca Graveyard Book-ul lui Gaiman a castigat Hugo-ul, desi este fantasy, dar a pierdut World Fantasy-ul!

    a pierdut si premiul a fost castigat nu de un alt roman, ci chiar de doua! :D

    daca sistemul e ala cu eliminari succesive… e chiar misto. e singurul sistem care scoate un cistigator cu majoritate de voturi.

    Asa e, de mult timp, doar ca anul trecut pe vremea asta se vorbea de o schimbare a sistemului de votare. Probabil doar zvonuri. Oricum, desi sistemul asta scoate cum a spus @michael, un castigator cu majoritate de voturi, de multe ori este vorba despre romanul care nu displace majoritatii, decat acela care incanta cel mai mare numar de votanti.
